This will incorporate a 7 day sponsored tour of the 116 Premiership, Football League and Conference Clubs where we will be “hopefully” collecting Signed Sporting Memorabilia from each venue that will then be auctioned at a venue to be
announced during the last week of August.

As an FA Charter Standard Club ourselves, We are approaching all 116 Football Clubs asking for a piece of signed memorabilia that can be placed in our auction. This could be a Shirt, Ball, Boots, Goalkeeper Gloves or even Shin pads either from an individual player or the team as a whole or even better both !!!

To collect these items we have 2 sponsored minibuses that will be touring the length and breadth of England and Wales. There will be 3 people in each bus who will all be wearing White Tracksuits (Sponsored) and each tracksuit will be emblazoned with the logos and club badges of everyone who has donated – we are also hoping that if we are lucky enough to bump into any players on the tour they will add their signatures to the tracksuits which will also be auctioned off when the buses return. The buses are scheduled to leave Leicester on the 1st August at the crack of dawn and will return on the 8th August. Once back we will prepare everything for the auction and for the week running up to the auction we will accept emailed bids for any items that are in the auction.

As part of the tour we are also promoting many aspects of football such as “Kick it Out”, Women’s and Girls Football, Disability and Wheelchair Football as well as many other current initiatives and campaigns within the modern game.

We have launched a major national press campaign which we hope will gain increased momentum as we near the event. Anybody who pledges support in any way will be featured on the tracksuits, and on the Fleckney Athletic Wishes 4 Kids

We are also approaching many national and local businesses and individuals who can pledge either items for our
non-sporting online auction and our auction night raffle or a donation to the fund. Again all of which will receive the maximum exposure on the tour and the web sites.

The reason behind all of this is of course to raise funds for the charity Wishes 4 Kids

Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below Wishes 4 Kids has already granted hundreds of wishes for local children. Sadly we do not have a magical cure for the suffering of these youngsters, however, we can bring a short period of respite. The time when a child has a wish granted is a moment that will be treasured by them for the rest of their life. It is also a time which parents will remember - that time when their child forgot the suffering. We sincerely hope that you will be able to support us and we look forward to being able to visit your ground/training ground during the first week of August.
